OQHA is pleased to announce that we will be offering a Virtual Show Series again in 2021, starting April 1st!
New for this year, each show will run for a full month with patterns being released on the 1st day of the month, and entries being open until 11:59pm on the last day of the month. This has a few key benefits:
- Ability for exhibitors to compete in any in-person events that are able to move forward (fingers crossed!!) and the virtual shows, without any date conflicts
- Flexibility for weather during the Spring season
- Allowing for travel/planning for those who may live in a different region than their equine partner.
The first show of the series will open April 1st and run through to April 30th. Judge TBD (currently being arranged by our Show Manager Sherrill Tisdale), but all shows will be judged by esteemed AQHA-carded judges. The events offered will be Walk-Trot Horsemanship, Non-Pro Showmanship, Horsemanship & Equitation and Open Trail. Results will be broken down by division and we plan to offer critiques from the judge to help exhibitors prepare for show season.
The next shows in the Series will run through the month of May & June with more details to follow. There will be Series-End awards for OQHA members, but anyone is welcome to participate regardless of membership or geography.
Virtual shows are a great way to practice and get exposure to the show pen in an affordable way, while supporting an OQHA fundraiser as we work to get up and running again pending COVID restrictions.
